“TRIZ” is a Russian acronym for “Theory of Inventive Problem Solving”. This innovation methodology is based on the systematic found by researching and analysising over 3 million patents. The most important findings were that innovations can be reduced to a few principles and that the evolution of technological progress follows certain predictable patterns, throughout all sectors. TRIZ, as systematic innovation has earned its stripes in many sectors and domains. The number of TRIZ-users increases rapidly, due to its efficiency to users worldwide: Philips, Goodyear, Samsung, P&G, CSC and many more.

This conference combines aspects of TRIZ with new tendencies in quality management. Both have a common goal: innovating products and processes. Besides general tutorials for the broad public, academic papers and applied examples of users are also presented. TRIZ Future welcomes, among other, TRIZ experts from around the world. Speakers from companies like Samsung, Airbus, Volvo, Bombardier and P&G are sharing their experience.

Visits to various trend-setting companies in the area, such as Picanol, Bekaert and Barco and an innovation museum place everything in context.

This conference is organized by CREAX, the Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen dept. PIH and the KU Leuven, in cooperation with the Flemish Quality Management Center, the Entrepreneur Centre Kortrijk and the city of Kortrijk. All details can be found at www.triz.be.
